Blanket I recently finished for a lady in my church who is having her first baby. The new baby is going to be named Sophia. =)

Wish my friend was having a girl. :) Maybe the next one!

I love making girly bankets. I had 3 boys, and so far most of my friends and relatives have boys too, so I was excited to get a chance to make this one.

I love girly things too and everything I find to knit seems to be just a tad feminine.

I think I would have to agree. There are more patterns for stuff for girls vs. boys. Although, as a mother of 3 boys, I think this applies in most things not just crochet or knit patterns. You'll note in most clothing stores the section for girls is larger, more creative, and has more variety than boys. Somebody should make a pattern book with stuff just for boys, and I mean stuff that's boyish and not just neutral or less feminine. =) I'd buy it. XD

lol. Yes. A friend of mine made blankets for my 2 oldest boys--I didn't know how to crochet then. Having something like that handmade was very special, and I appreciated it. This is my way of sharing that with others now.

It's incredibly sweet :). I'm a knitter myself, just haven't gotten around to baby things. I hope to learn to crochet someday.

Go for it. =D I crochet mostly, but I've been trying to learn how to knit. There's so much fun stuff out there to try and make. =)
